Simone Falvey-Behr

With 30 years experience in multinational organisations, Simone Falvey-Behr has led cross-cultural educational programs across Europe for the Council of Europe and advised on diversity inclusion programs for the UN in Asia. She has performed various roles on not-for-profit boards and committees, been Chair of the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of Victoria and Chair of Ethics for the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.

Having qualified initially in anthropology in France, Simone moved to Australia in 2006, completed a Masters degree in psychotherapy and thereby complemented her earlier work with conflicting groups by her individual work in private mental health practise. An active member of the Ethics Centre of Australia, she maintains a perspective on equity and changing social values in Australia, which is enriched by her professional experience across Western and Eastern Europe, in Africa and Asia, and studying food, agriculture and equity programs with her husband. Simone brings governance, diversity, public education, ethics and cultural skills to her interest in nutritious and pleasurable food as an essential component of physical and mental wellbeing.
